Making It to the Semi-Finals of Virgin Pitching Competition
Reaching the semi-finals of the Virgin Media VOOM competition in Birmingham was one of those moments that felt genuinely surreal, the kind that reminds you why you took the leap in the first place.
Virgin #VOOM attracted thousands of entries from ambitious businesses across the UK, with the pitchathon achieving a Guinness World Record. JustBe Botanicals was chosen as a semi-finalist and the pitches were streamed live at Euston Station in London, which meant that if you happened to be passing through, you may just have spotted Gail on the big screen.
As Sir Richard Branson said of the VOOM competitors: "Nobody breaks records or builds successful businesses without being dedicated, and Virgin Media Business and all of those who pitched have demonstrated this perseverance in spades."
It was a huge honour to be recognised among such talented, purpose-driven businesses.
The Scottish Chocolate Collective at the Royal Highland Show
Around the same time, JustBe Botanicals joined the Scottish Chocolate Collective at Scottish Larder Live, part of the Royal Highland Show, alongside Charlotte Flower, Coco of Bruntsfield and the Chocolate Gallery.
For a brand that had only recently launched its aromatherapy chocolate range, being part of a collective celebrating Scottish artisan chocolate felt like a very natural fit. It was a joyful, delicious day and an early sign that the chocolate range had found its community.
