JustBe Happy Hand Wash Receives Silver at the FreeFrom Skincare Awards
We were absolutely over the moon when JustBe Happy Hand and Body Wash was awarded Silver at the FreeFrom Skincare Awards, hosted by the wonderful Janey Lee Grace at Olympia in London.
The FreeFrom Skincare Awards are known for their rigorous, independent judging process - products are tested by real people with real skin concerns and the feedback is honest and specific. The panel's response to the Happy Hand and Body Wash was everything we could have hoped for:
"Certainly a pleasure to use and I loved the smell: pink grapefruit and lime. I loved this product: it was fresh and zingy but didn't leave my skin dry or tight. I would buy it again. Very uplifting for a morning shower."
It was the second accolade for the Happy Hand and Body Wash that year, having already received Finalist status from the Beauty Shortlist Awards earlier in 2016. Two independent recognitions, from two well-respected programmes, for a product we believed in deeply.
JustBe Botanicals Skincare Available at Whole Foods Market
Around the same time, JustBe Botanicals skincare launched in Whole Foods Market stores across the UK: stocked at High Street Kensington, Piccadilly, Richmond and Giffnock in Glasgow.
Whole Foods Market is one of the most discerning natural and organic retailers in the world. Their buyers are meticulous, their customers are knowledgeable and the products on their shelves are there because they genuinely meet an exceptional standard. Being selected was validation that a hand-blended Scottish brand could hold its own in a world-class retail environment.
Visiting the London stores and seeing JustBe products on the shelves and watching customers pick them up was amazing.
Bringing the JustBe Experience to the Shop Floor
One of the things I loved most about the Whole Foods partnership was the opportunity to do live in-store demonstrations, showing customers how to use the products, explaining the essential oil blends and their mood-supporting properties and letting people experience JustBe first-hand.
There's something irreplaceable about that kind of direct connection. Seeing someone's face change when they feel the texture of a body butter melt into their skin or inhale a blend for the first time, that's what JustBe is really about, a moment of genuine discovery.
Still Winning, Still Hand-Blending
The Happy Hand and Body Wash has continued to earn recognition since that 2016 Silver, including Highly Commended at the Beauty Awards with OK! Magazine in 2017. It remains one of our most consistently loved and most gifted products, still hand-blended in small batches in Edinburgh, still uplifting and still completely free from anything you don't need.
