Brewing Up Something Exci-tea-ing with White Stuff Edinburgh
In the summer of 2016, JustBe Botanicals and White Stuff Edinburgh did something we hadn't seen done before - we invited the people of Edinburgh to help us create a signature herbal tea blend.
The idea was beautifully simple. Pop into the White Stuff store on George Street, sit in the Meet & Make space on the first floor, a genuine oasis of calm in the middle of Edinburgh Festival season and share your dream tea combination. Refreshing green tea with a minty twist? Calming chamomile with delicate rose petals? Something unexpected? All ideas welcome.

The winning blend would be exclusively served at the JustBe tea stop inside the store.
Why Community Co-Creation Matters
Herbal tea, like aromatherapy, is a deeply personal experience. The blends that resonate most are the ones that feel instinctive, combinations that make immediate, sensory sense. We believed that asking people what they'd actually love to drink would lead somewhere more interesting than anything we could have arrived at alone. And it did.
The response from Edinburgh was wonderful. From the browsing customer who turned out to have a strong opinion about lavender, to the Festival visitor who hadn't planned to stop but ended up staying for a cup of tea and a conversation, the Meet & Make space became exactly what we'd hoped: a place to pause, share and connect around something genuinely enjoyable.
The JustBe Fabulous Winning Tea Blend
When the entries were judged in store, the winner was Chantal Balmer from Glasgow whose beautifully considered combination of spearmint, rose and lavender came out on top. Light, floral and soothing in equal measure, a blend that felt both fresh and calming, with the kind of layered quality that makes a good herbal tea genuinely worth savouring.
Congratulations again to Chantal and thank you to everyone who took part. The winning blend was made available to enjoy in the White Stuff Meet & Make space - a small but lovely reminder that the best ideas often come from simply asking people what they love.
The JustBe Botanicals Herbal Tea Range
The spirit behind the Fabulous Tea Competition, bringing people together around botanical blends and the simple pleasure of a well-made cup of tea, is the same spirit that runs through the JustBe herbal tea range. Each blend is designed around a mood, a feeling and a moment of genuine pause.
Whether you're looking for something uplifting, calming or quietly restorative, there's a JustBe tea that meets you where you are.
With warmth and a very good cup of tea, Gail
