From Virgin #VOOM Spotlight to Local Delights
Every brand has a beginning, a moment when things start to feel real. For JustBe Botanicals, one of those moments came when we were chosen as one of just eleven companies invited to attend the Virgin Media VOOM photoshoot in London, celebrating the diversity of that year's competition.
With over 7,500 entries, for the Virgin Pitching Competition, simply being selected felt significant. But what made the moment truly memorable was finding out that our photograph had been chosen as Picture of the Day in the Huffington Post, seen by thousands of people who had no idea a small, hand-blended Scottish aromatherapy brand was quietly doing something different.
It was an early and unexpected sign that JustBe had something worth sharing.
Why These Moments Matter
We share this as a reminder of something we genuinely believe: that small, independent businesses built on purpose and care can find their place in the world, even when they're starting with very little beyond a good idea and a lot of heart.
JustBe Botanicals was born out of Gail's belief that skincare, selfcare and wellbeing should work together and that how a product makes you feel is just as important as what it does for your skin. That belief hasn't changed. The range has grown, as have the awards and the community around JustBe has become something genuinely special. But the intention behind it all is exactly the same as it was at the beginning.
From Early Days to 30+ Awards
From that early Huffington Post moment, JustBe Botanicals has gone on to earn over 39 industry awards and accolades - including features in Vogue, House & Garden and Lonely Planet, recognition from the Free From Skincare Awards, the Beauty Shortlist, the Great Taste Awards and the Pure Beauty Awards and most recently the title of Scottish Skincare Brand of the Year 2025/26 at the Prestige Awards.
Each milestone is a reminder that staying true to your values: natural ingredients, emotional wellbeing, honest formulation, small-batch care, really does build something that lasts.
Tea, Chat & Creativity in Edinburgh
The newly launched Meet & Make area at White Stuff, Edinburgh is the perfect place to catch up with friends over a pot of JustBe tea. The plan is for the space to also host craft workshops – a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
