Community, Connections and a Few Happy Surprises

Edinburgh in August, There's Nothing Quite Like It

For anyone who has ever experienced Edinburgh in August, you'll know that the city transforms into something entirely extraordinary. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and for a brand built around joy, connection and multi-sensory experience, it's a season that feels very JustBe.

This particular summer brought some moments we'll never forget.

A Surprise Appearance on the Virgin Startup Panel

One of the most unexpected and genuinely exciting highlights of the summer was a surprise invitation to join the Virgin Startup panel alongside Celia Pool from Hey Girls and Marie from LS Productions.

Being invited to share the JustBe story in that context, among other founders building businesses with genuine purpose, was both humbling and energising. It was a reminder that what we're doing resonates beyond the beauty industry and that the values at the heart of JustBe connect with people building all kinds of organisations.

That same summer, we had the pleasure of delivering a wellbeing session for Hare & Tortoise, a brilliant new comedy production company that was in Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival and hearing Sir Chris Hoy share his inspiring life lessons at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

From laughing in a comedy session to listening to one of Scotland's greatest athletes talk about his latest children's book - Flying Fergus, it was a summer that reinforced everything we believe: that wellbeing and joy are not separate from work and creativity. They're essential to it.

Supporting Maggie's Cancer Care Centres

Community has always been at the heart of JustBe and that includes showing up for the causes that matter. We were proud to support Maggie's Magical Garden Party at Wormiston House in Crail, a fun-filled family day raising funds for Maggie's Cancer Care Centres.

Maggie's provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and events like this are a joyful reminder of what communities can do when they come together.

Shop by How You'd Like to Feel

One of the changes we're most proud of in the JustBe Botanicals website is the ability to shop by mood - choosing products based not on skin type or product category, but on how you'd like to feel.

Happy. Tranquil. Energised. Kind. Detox. Active. Pure.

It's a small but meaningful shift and one that sits at the heart of everything we make.
