We Asked You to Share Your Snaps and You Delivered
When we launched the Edinburgh Festival Fringe photo competition in the summer of 2017, we had no idea quite what response we'd receive.
We asked people to show us where they were enjoying their JustBe Fringe chocolate bars and what came back was extraordinary. Not just snaps from Edinburgh's Royal Mile or the Fringe venues, but photographs from some of the most beautiful and unexpected corners of the world.
A JustBe chocolate bar perched on sun-warmed ancient stones at the Roman Forum in Italy, with the columns of the Forum stretching out behind it. A Zesty Lime bar catching the Mediterranean light on the rocky coastline of Croatia, sailboats drifting in the bay below. A Fresh Mint bar tucked into the arms of a carved Balinese temple statue, lotus ponds and palm trees behind. And a full fan of all three Fringe bars held up defiantly against the skyscrapers of Chicago.
And closer to home, a fan of Fringe bars held up against Edinburgh's own Fringe buses, a Zesty Lime bar balanced on the bell of a golden saxophone and the most enthusiastic street performer in the Fringe Shop, clearly delighted to have JustBe on his shelves.

What these snaps told us, beyond making us genuinely emotional, is that the people who found JustBe in the Fringe Shop carried something of Edinburgh with them when they left. A bar of chocolate in Fringe packaging, photographed against some of the world's most iconic backdrops.
It was one of the most joyful and unexpected chapters in the JustBe story. And it's one we still look back on with enormous pride.
The hashtag was #EdFringeInYourMouth. The reality was JustBe in Rome, Croatia, Bali and Chicago.
The JustBe Fringe Chocolate Bars
The three bars photographed around the world were JustBe Loved (Blushing Rose), JustBe Happy (Zesty Lime) and JustBe Active (Fresh Mint), each one given exclusive Edinburgh Festival Fringe packaging for the festival's 70th anniversary and sold exclusively at the Fringe Shop on the Royal Mile.
All three are still available today, still hand-blended in Scotland and still, we like to think, worth photographing in beautiful places.
